Welkom op de website van vzw, Gitaar, maar waar?. U vindt hier een gitaarkalender voor België en Nederland, een blog met onze activiteiten ten voordele van jong gitaartalent én een overzicht van gitaarbouwers uit BE en NL. Iedereen kan gratis een bouwer aan de lijst of een evenement aan de kalender toevoegen.
De Russische gitariste Irina Kulikova wordt geroemd om haar zeldzaam mooie toonvorming en de innemende manier waarop ze verhalen vertelt met haar instrument. Ze speelt al vanaf haar vijfde jaar gitaar. Kulikova’s moeder, een celliste, bracht haar al jong de geheimen van de muziek bij. Op haar twaalfde reisde ze door heel Rusland en daarbuiten voor concerten. Ze won vijf internationale gitaarconcoursen, waaronder ‘Iserlohn’ in Duitsland en ‘Guitarra Alhambra’ in Spanje. Irina Kulikova is een graag geziene gast op gerenommeerde festivals. Inmiddels zijn er vier solo-cd’s van haar verschenen.
“It’s about the touch.” Dat is het motto van Irina Kulikova, in de muziek en in het leven. “If you take special care of everything and everybody that is dear to you, if you show love and devotion in those little details that make a difference, then you may touch the lives of other people in a way that they will cherish.”
En hoezeer is dat van toepassing op de lente, op de kwetsbaarheid van de jonge natuur, het ontluikende leven. Irina Kulikova vindt zelf haar inspiratie in de natuur. Met haar jongste album – ‘Reminiscences of Russia’ – droomt ze weg naar wat ze het meest mist van haar moederland: de bossen, de bergen, de natuur van de Oeral.
Op 19 maart kunt u in Gasterij de Oostvaarders genieten van de muziek van deze briljante Russische gitaarvirtuoos die haar feilloze techniek combineert met een bijzondere rust en diepgang in haar spel. U zult haar ’touch’ voelen met haar zeldzame mooie klank, waarmee zij muziekliefhebbers over de hele wereld betovert.
Dit lenteconcert is onderdeel van de nieuwe gitaarserie Gitaarsalon de Oostvaarders: gitaarconcerten waarin elk kwartaal de overgang van de seizoenen gevierd wordt met sfeervolle gitaarmuziek en een speciaal menu dat daarop aansluit. Proef de smaak van de natuur in Gasterij de Oostvaarders in het gelijknamige natuurbelevingcentrum in Almere Buiten, waar de intieme setting en smakelijk drie gangen diner voor een onvergetelijke culinaire én muzikale ervaring zorgt.

Tuur Segers (BE) and Andrea Roberto (IT) are two of the most talented young guitarists in Europe.
Andrea Roberto, began studying guitar at age 4. At 9 years old, he was admitted to the U. Giordano Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of guitarist Sandro Torlontano, and graduated with honors at the age of 14 with his bachelor’s degree. He continued his studies with Aniello Desiderio at the Koblenz International Guitar Academy in Germany. He has received a variety of international awards including the David Russell Prize for young talented musicians at the Conservatory of Vigo (Spain), the Parkening Young Guitarist Competition at Pepperdine, and the Joven Promesa Prize at the VIII José Tomás—Villa de Petrer (Spain) International Guitar Competition. In 2010 he won the Valter Cococcia Prize, which goes to the youngest Italian conservatory student graduating with honors. In addition to this he has won prizes in numerous other competitions including the International Competition of the Adriatic in Pescara, the Fernando Sor International Competition in Rome, the International Competition of Mottola and the Stefano Strata International Competition of Pisa.
Tuur Segers developed an interest for the guitar at a young age recieven his first lessons from his father. He has performed, amongst other places, in the Koninklijke Muntschouwburg, in ‘Bozar’ Brussel, the Basilica Festival of Vlaanderen in Tongeren, the guitar festival in Petrer (Spain) and the Wereldomroep in Hilversum. Additionally, Tuur was selected to play in the “fiësta de la guitarra” in Tallinn and Parnu in Estonia. Aditionaly he played with the ‘Rubens strijkkwartet’ in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, de Doelen in Rotterdam, the Philipszaal in Eindhoven and in Janine Jansen’s chamber music festival in Utrecht.
Tuur has won numerous prizes in competitions including: the ‘Dexia Classics’ in Brussels, the Andrés Segovia International Guitar Competition for Young Guitarists, the Anna Amalia International Guitar Competition for Young Guitarists, the Prinses Christina Concours, International Guitar Competition Brno, the Forum Gitarre Wien and the José Tomas International Guitar Competition in Petrer.

Het onzegbare zit in de Russische ziel ingebakken. Op vrijdag graaft IRINA KULIKKOVA naar haar wortels. Haar aan Rusland gewijde programma laat niemand onberoerd.
Daarna citeert de gitarist JAN DEPRETER uit zijn Dedication-project. Waar toewijding en waanzin elkaar ontmoeten, ligt het oeuvre dat de gitaarwereld aan Julian Bream te danken heeft. Britse meesterwerken uit vier decennia vormen een hommage aan de man uit Battersea.
